Thank you for visiting my website and for your interest in my books! At this time (while this page is live) I am taking a break from promotion to focus on writing, and therefore I am not open to most requests. If you’re simply a reader wishing to get in touch with me about my books, please scroll to the bottom of this page. Otherwise, please read through the FAQ before contacting me.
Can you send me an ARC or review copy of your book(s)?
No. At this time there are no more advance review copies left of any of my novels. You are welcome to email my publisher, Little, Brown, at email@example.com, just in case.
Are you available for interviews?
Sometimes; it depends on my schedule and your deadline. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will consider your request.
Will you write an unpaid guest post/essay/story for my blog/website/magazine/book?
No. At this time I am not writing for free. If your project pays professional rates, please feel free to contact me (email@example.com) and I’ll consider it.
Will you read and/or blurb my novel?
At this time I am not open to blurb requests, and I am unable to read your novel. Please do not send any manuscripts or books to me that I haven’t requested; I will not read them.
Are you available for school/library visits?
On rare occasions I am available for school/library visits, but please be aware that I charge a speaker’s fee in lieu of book sales, and require that my transportation and accommodation be covered. To request a school/library visit, please contact Faye.Bi@hbgusa.com.
Are you available to be a guest speaker at my conference or for my book event?
I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, and at this time I am fully booked for travel through the end of 2014. If your conference is after that, you are welcome to contact me (firstname.lastname@example.org) with details, but please be aware that I do require my registration, travel and accommodations to be covered.
If you’re querying about a local San Francisco area event, you’re welcome to contact me (email@example.com) and I will consider it.
Will you donate a copy of your book(s) to my fundraiser or send me some of your books for my classroom/library/community center?
I’m afraid not. I donate my books to schools and libraries when I have them, but I’m unable to accommodate these requests otherwise.
Can I write a post for your website?
No. On rare occasions I will invite someone to write a guest post, but those requests always come from me. Please do not pitch me.
Can you answer some questions for my homework assignment?
No. But please feel free to search my website, where I have written a lot about my writing process, for more about me and my books.
