September 2012 in Review: Photos
Usually I do a post summarizing what happened last month. Well, last month a lot happened and I had so many photos that I decided to put them all into their own post. Here we go!
The Big News in my house last month was the publication of my latest book. Many kind people tweeted me photos of said book in various locations around the globe, and I’ve assembled those photos (along with a few of my own) in this handy pic:

Top row, left to right: Me signing copies of my books at Book Passage; @racktastic and @WildActually battling over the only copy at their B&N in Austin, TX; with webcomic artist @‪GoGetaRoomie (in Brussels, I think?)
Middle row, left to right: @jenoskello‘s copy arrives in Manchester; an amazing YA shelf at Compass Books in the San Francisco Airport; in Baltimore courtesy of my brother-in-law
Bottom row, left to right: @yaindieprincess‘s copy arrives in the UK; the Books of Wonder display in New York City; and in the window at Mrs. Dalloway’s in Berkeley, courtesy of my friends Claudia and Sarah
And then there were events!

SF in SF on Sept. 15, from L to R: Martha [Name Redacted], C.J. Omololu, Heidi Kling, Cheryl Herbsman, Cindy Pon, and me posing with my book and Kung Fu Panda
And traveling!

The nighttime view from the terrace in my 27th floor suite in Manhattan! I got magically upgraded because (I believe) a certain Iranian president was also in the hotel at the same time for UN week. Crazy!
And more events!

At Books of Wonder in NYC, clockwise from top left: Me, Jessica Shirvington, Karsten Knight, and Sarah Beth Durst

Me and St. Martin’s Press editor and friend S. Jae-Jones, who just acquired her first two YA titles. Congrats, JJ!

The Ghosts, Goddesses and Wolves panel at the Brooklyn Book Festival, from L to R: Jessica Shirvington, Kendare Blake, Andrea Cremer, and me
Last but not least, I found some free time to take a walk on the Brooklyn Promenade, where I took this gorgeous photo pre-sunset (click to enlarge):
In October I’m traveling to Portland, OR, for Sirens and to Richmond, VA, for the James River Writers Conference, so I’m sure I’ll have lots more pics soon.

AAAAHHHHH, SO COOL! Of course I changed my Twitter handle the one time someone linked to it. It’s @paperflye now, lol. BTW ADAPTATION WAS SO COOL (once I finally managed to get a copy. Haha). I LOVE IT. Want more now plz, kthx.
-Rebecca (formerly @WildActually)
I finished the book in 3 days and then immediately loaned it to @paperflye. I’m a good friend like that.
Looking forward to the sequel!
@racktastic
Aha! That’s why @WildActually was no longer on Twitter! Thanks for the update, Rebecca. And I am glad you got your hands on a copy and enjoyed it!
