Where you can find me this week, plus ASH goes to Germany and Turkey

This week I’m planning to finish the last (cross your fingers) revisions for Huntress, so I won’t be around much online. But I will be doing a few things in real life that I want to tell you about.

Tuesday night, April 13, I’ll be reading from Ash at the 22nd Annual Lambda Literary Awards Finalists Reading at the San Francisco Public Library. I’m one of 16 finalists (!!) who will be reading from their works. Here are the details:

22nd Annual Lambda Literary Awards Finalists Reading
April 13, 2010
5:00-6:00 p.m. Reception
6:00-8:00 p.m. Reading
Latino/Hispanic Room
San Francisco Main Library
100 Larkin Street
San Francisco, CA

Later this week, on Saturday afternoon, I’ll be attending the Northern California Book Awards, also at the San Francisco Public Library. Ash is nominated in the Children’s/Teen category! I’ll be nervously waiting to see if it wins. Here are the details:

Northern California Book Awards
April 18, 2010
1:00-2:30 p.m. awards ceremony
2:30-4 p.m. book signing and reception
Koret Auditorium
San Francisco Main Library
100 Larkin Street
San Francisco, CA

I also have some great foreign rights news to share … Ash will be published in Germany in November 2010 by PAN. And sometime within the next year, Ash will be published in Turkey by Artemis Yayinlari. How cool is that? I’m thrilled that Ash is making its way around the world.

And now, I’m going back to revising Huntress. :)

Oooh, awesome! I can’t wait to see it on the shelves here in Germany, even if I have already read it in English. =) Looking forward to what they come up with for the cover!

Woh! Does this mean you’ll be doing a book tour in Germany? ^^ I’ll be the first to buy Ash in German so I can give it my girlfriend to read,

Hi Gretel! I would love to come to Germany (I’ve never been) but that’s pretty much up to my German publisher. So … no idea. :)
