The ASH across-the-pond giveaway! (updated)

Today, March 4, 2010, is the official date that Ash comes out in the U.K., Australia, New Zealand, and other “world English” territories! Are you confused by that? Well, so am I, but the point is, Ash should now be available in English around the world. And to celebrate that, I’m giving away two three copies of the Hodder Children’s Books edition, which looks like this:

Ash UK cover

The text of this book is exactly the same as the American version, except everything is spelled with British spellings. Which means you get “grey” instead of “gray,” etc. It’s quite entertaining for me to look through it!

Now, because I’m celebrating Ash‘s worldwide release (in English), this contest is open to everyone. In fact, I’m reserving one copy especially for an overseas reader. If I get enough entries (say, 50 entries), I’ll add a third copy of Ash to the giveaway.

UPDATE: I’ve gotten more than 50 entries (yay!), so I’m officially adding a third copy of the U.K. edition to the giveaway. Thanks everybody! And please keep spreading the word about the contest!

So, without further ado, here are the rules:

  1. To enter the contest, just leave a comment on this blog post. Please enter your email address in the comment form so that I will know how to contact you (it will not show up on the website).
  2. *** In your comment, you also must list the country you live in. *** Don’t forget! ***
  3. You get an additional entry for each time you tweet, Facebook, blog, or otherwise link to this contest. But you must add a new comment, with a link to your mention, each time you do this (so that I will know!). For example, you comment once to enter the contest. Then you tweet about it and link to it on your blog. That means you come back here and leave two more entries, one linking to your tweet, the other linking to your blog post.
  4. The contest will be open for two weeks, until March 18, 2010, at midnight Pacific.
  5. The winners will be selected at random.
  6. The winners will be notified by email and must respond with their mailing address within 24 hours in order to claim their prize. If you do not respond, you won’t get the book!

Now … go!

Contest is closed! Winners will be announced shortly.

I tried ordering the book from Amazon and Barnes and Noble when it came out in the US, but nobody seems to be accepting orders from ICELAND these days :/

Here’s hoping for better luck with this contest, ’cause I’ve been dying to read this story. Thanks for the opportunity and congratulations on the international release!
