Today, Oct. 11, is National Coming Out Day. It was also the day of the National Equality March in Washington, D.C. I was not there, but I followed it on Twitter for a while, and this is one of my favorite signs I saw:
I’ve had a few people ask me about my own coming-out story, so I thought I’d share a link to this Notes & Queeries column I wrote last April, in which I wrote about some of my coming-out experience.
As anyone who is LGBTQ knows, you never come out just once. So to everyone who is contemplating coming out to your family, your friends or even yourself — I’m right there with you. Every time we come out, it makes it a bit easier for someone else.
