A brief hiatus

Hello blog readers! I have to tell you that I’m going on a brief blogging hiatus. Basically, I’m on deadline for my next novel, Huntress, and that will be followed by a trip to the East Coast (I’ll be doing some Ash events and some personal travel, too). So, while it really, really pains me to do so, I’m going to have to stop blogging for … a while.

Everything I know about the internet is telling me that this is a Very Bad Idea, because if you don’t have fresh content regularly, people stop coming.

But, well, if I don’t finish Huntress, there will be nothing for you to come to my site for. :( So, since my blog is a one-woman operation, I’m going to have to go on a brief hiatus. I will post if I have really exciting news, or if I have new events to tell you about. And don’t forget: You can always check the Events page for updated info on my upcoming appearances.

I promise I will be back to blogging as soon as I can, because I have about a zillion ideas that I want to blog about, such as gender in YA, writer’s block, all those interesting questions about Ash I have yet to answer, my new thoughts on representing race in fantasy … many, many things! And food! Have I mentioned it’s almost the holiday season and there will be a lot of food happening?

So. I will be back. But in the meantime, please do follow me on Twitter, because I’m sure I’ll still be tweeting. (Tweeting requires a lot less thought and time than blogging!)

I’ll see you in a little while!

I don’t think it makes much of a difference for readers that subscribe to your feeds.
