Update on my events and appearances, plus TV notes
I have updates on where I will be this fall! Go here to check out the latest. I’m hoping to add a few more on the East Coast, and I’ll let you know when they are finalized.
This Saturday I’ll be at the Sonoma County Book Festival in Santa Rosa, CA. I’ll be signing books from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the SCBWI booth (No. 88). Here’s a map of the festival layout. If you’re in the area, please stop by and say hi!
For those of you who want me to come to your neck of the woods (I’ve gotten requests for Washington, D.C., and Chicago), thank you so much for wanting me to visit! I would love to come to your town but I can’t do that unless I am invited by a bookstore, school, library, LGBT community center, etc. So, you might tell your local influential book-related person about me just in case they have the power to issue an invitation.
Meanwhile, I hope you’re having a great fall! I’ve been a bit frantic with all this book launch stuff, but it’s been a blast so far. I’m relieved and excited that the fall TV season is starting, though, because I’ve forgotten how much I love TV. (I’ve been doing a lot of reading lately.) For example, I recently watched The Vampire Diaires on the CW and I must say, I think it rocks. Yeah, it’s cheesy and angsty and super melodramatic, but it’s also a lot of fun. I hope the rest of the season lives up to the pilot.

OMG, I'm in a misty graveyard! Could vampires be far behind?
Also, I am really psyched because I got a screener of the Dollhouse season premiere and I just watched it over the weekend. It was veeeery interesting. Not the least because it featured both Apollo and Helo from Battlestar Galactica (the actors, I know, not the actual characters). If Joss wants to shift the entire cast of BSG over to Dollhouse, that’s fine with me. When do we get to see Katee Sackhoff Starbuck in a fight with Eliza Dushku Echo, hmm? That would definitely be must-see TV!

Who will win?
OK, gotta go. Remember: new events info here! Hope to see you in the real world this fall.

You will be at NCTE!!!! I am doing my best to try to be there. Considering I’m an English & Ed major and I go to school about 20 minutes away, it should be no problem. It would be wonderful if I could meet you there! Looking forward to that weekend even more now!
Yes! I will be there! I am also working on a Philadelphia event not related to NCTE and will post that when it’s confirmed.

I am a new reader to your blog, my friend, Heather, linked me after telling me about your book, Ash. And I just have to say I think the above paragraph is one one of my favorite paragraphs in a blog ever!
