Photo Friday: Marin Farmer’s Market

Monday marks the official beginning of fall, which means it’s harvest time. We’re really lucky here in Northern California because we get a lot of amazing fresh produce all year round, but this time of year in particular I feel like I’ve died and gone to farm-fresh heaven.

One of my favorite places to get my hands on that fresh produce is the Marin County Farmer’s Market, which takes place every Sunday (all year!) in San Rafael. Here’s some of what I saw:

Blackberries and chili peppers

This garlic will definitely keep the vampires away.

May you eat well this weekend!

(Oh, and if you’re in the Sonoma County area on Saturday, don’t forget: I’ll be at the Sonoma County Book Festival in Santa Rosa, Booth No. 88, signing books from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Stop by and say hello!)
