Poster contest winners! And part 1 of the Ash FAQ …

Today I’m happy to announce the winners of the Ash poster contest. As you may recall, I asked folks to send in interesting questions about Ash for a chance to win a beautiful poster. Well, I got some awesome questions, and these five people asked particularly thought-provoking questions:

  • Sarah
  • Susan
  • Aimée
  • Kirsty
  • Charlotte

I’ve emailed the five of you individually, so if you didn’t get a message from me, check your spam filters, or send me an email (mlo at malindalo.com).

I will be answering those questions plus a bunch more in the very near future, in my iFAQ (infrequently asked questions)! But in the meantime, I’ve assembled a list of frequently asked questions relating to Ash. This is where I talk about my inspiration for Ash, the gay stuff, and how to pronounce the names in the book.

* * * Go here to read the Ash FAQ! * * *

And now, since I know I skipped Photo Friday due to the AfterEllen Ash giveaway post (open till Sept. 5!), I leave you all with this image of me posing next to my book at the Barnes & Noble in Corte Madera, CA:

Look, Mom, it's me and my book!

Lookie!!

I can’t believe my book exists!

    I bought Ash from Amazon today! The only downside is it won’t be autographed :(
    I am still very excited about it.

    I’m glad I read that FAQ: now I know his name is SHEEN for future reference! That’s one of those names that, even after discovering the actual pronunciation, you have no idea how people arrived there via the spelling… :P

    And HAPPY RELEASE DAY! I’ve been waiting for this day for a long time, and now I finally get to say it!
