Although this is late I wondered if the questioned could still be answered…
Why ASH? I mean why a retelling of Cinderella with the modern twist of homosexuality? and in that sense why not another fairy tale? Why through a fantasy retell instead of a regular, normal element (not that I’m complaining!) I guess in general (as cliche and not exciting as it sounds, as it is a pretty normal, overused question) why did you feel the need to tell this story in particular? Thank you so much and I’m looking forward to reading the book once it hits the shelves!!!

“It’s a lesbian retelling of
Cinderella.” Was that the way it has always been Ash falling In slove witha Woman
Was their and worries that people would get offended `?????

I’ve just mentioned Ash in a list I just posted about girls who read in fantasy books (http://charlotteslibrary.blogspot.com/2009/08/ill-help-save-world-but-just-let-me.html). I love how important her books are to her!

As I said in my post, it seems to me that there are publishers of books in Ash’s world, and I wanted to ask if this is true or not. And are there any used book stores?

While holding true to your original concept – how would one character arc change if the race of Ash was re-cast as Chinese, and the story set was in modern day Flushings, Queens?

We live in an age of “Girl Power.” Why did you choose the Cinderalla character to represent Ash? Isn’t she merely waiting to be rescued like a damsel in distress rather than pursue self-actualization?
