Win an advance copy of Prophecy of the Sisters!

I recently read a great new YA gothic fantasy: Prophecy of the Sisters by Michelle Zink. The book doesn’t come out until August, but you can win an advance review copy (ARC) right here and get a sneak peek before it hits the shelves!

Why would you be interested in this book? Well, let me tell you:

  1. There are evil twins in it. Or are there? (wicked laugh)
  2. It reminded me of curling up with a good ol’ scary Lois Duncan novel. You know, creepy sounds on the stairs, creaking  doors, supernatural out-of-body experiences that involve the devil. Good stuff!
  3. Seances! I am a sucker for a good seance, and Prophecy delivers.
  4. Self-reliant heroines who work together to stop the coming of evil. I love me some sisterhood.
  5. If that’s not enough, take note: Eliza Dushku is reading the audio version. So you’ll want to read the book first, because otherwise you’ll be too distracted listening to her voice to pay attention to the plot!

To further whet your appetite, here’s the official cover copy:

An ancient prophecy divides two sisters.
One good…
One evil…
Who will prevail?

Twin sisters Lia and Alice Milthorpe have just become orphans. They have also become enemies. As they discover their roles in a prophecy that has turned generations of sisters against each other, the girls find themselves entangled in a mystery that involves a tattoo-like mark, their parents’ deaths, a boy, a book, and a lifetime of secrets.

Lia and Alice don’t know whom they can trust.

They just know they can’t trust each other.

Doesn’t that sound awesome? If you want to win an ARC of the book, all you have to do is leave a comment below with your email address. (Don’t forget the email address — otherwise I won’t be able to contact you if you win! And don’t worry — your email address won’t show up on the site.) For additional chances to win, post about this contest on your blog/Facebook/MySpace and leave another comment here with your link.

This giveaway is open to those in the U.S. and Canada only, and the deadline for entry is midnight Eastern time, May 12, 2009. I will pick a random winner and announce it shortly afterward.

So who wants to read this fabulous book?

I’d love to win a copy.

How COOL is it that Eliza Dushku is narrating the audio version? That’ll be awesomeness incarnate.

I want to read Prophecy of the Sisters SO BADLY!!! It is tied for #1 on my list of anticipated 2009 books with the sequel of my favorite novel of 2008. The list is over 150 books long…. It seems like an epically awesome book!
