Photo Friday: Korean barbeque edition

Last weekend some friends and I went to Brothers Restaurant in San Francisco for some good old fashioned Korean barbeque. As always, you’ve gotta start off with numerous little plates of pickles. I love those tofu thingies in the lower right.

Then we had the delicious raw beef — mmm. It’s always ice-cold, marinated in something really yummy (soy sauce, sugar, vinegar, something else?), and this time it came mixed with crispy Asian pears.

Here are the hot coals shortly before we put all the kalbi and bulgogi on it:

And here’s the beef, grilling up nicely:

To top it all off, we ordered a steaming bowl of bibimbap:

Lest you think that all I do is eat and talk about food, don’t worry — next week I have other things in mind. <evil laugh> Have a great weekend!

    Malinda -

Can I just say you are an evil evil woman? I’m sitting here salivating now thanks to you! And I’ve just had dinner!

Eat and food; that’s heaven! The small dishes look good and the beef grilling, it’s making my mouth water. Am slightly worried about the evil laugh……
